The Mabinogion (Welsh pronunciation: [mabɪˈnɔɡjɔn] ⓘ) are the earliest Welsh prose stories, and belong to the Matter of Britain. The stories were compiled in Middle Welsh in the 12th–13th centuries from earlier oral traditions.
