Bars exposed to lengthy periods of heat melt against the wrapper and the texture gets much more “grainy” if that makes sense.

Also “high quality protein” in my mind would mean whey, which it has, but the majority comes from soy protein isolate which is what protein bars at the dollar store uses. Unless it tastes amazingly good I would just go with the Kirkland brand protein bars.

Absolutely agree. They still have the artificial sweetener taste and a weird texture, but I find them way more palatable than other protein bars with comparable amounts of protein. I find that they’re much better if I stick them in the fridge or freezer for a couple of minutes. It toughens them up and makes the texture less playdoh-like

Finding an acceptable balance of good ingredients for our low carb lifestyle was a serious quest. Finding these bars (previous formula) was a godsend. No other product came close.

Short answer- Pure protein and Simply protein. I just recently went down the aisle and analyzed most of the protein bars. Maybe I missed one, but these were the only two I found to have at least 10% of protein to calories. Pure protein is roughly 200 calories with 20g of protein (10%) and Simply Protein is 150 calories with 15g of protein (10%).
