2024年7月17日 · In the “early days,” Ebags sold all kinds of brands including some Rick Steve luggage. Then, Ebags got more focused - for good reason. Then, started merging with Samsonite. Then, covid hit and severely reduced traveling and luggage sales. Then, ebags really cut back on inventory. Then, the insane clearance sales. So, I’m not surprised.

2020年8月2日 · i dont think there was a recent corporate event like another acquisition. It is possible they ran the Samsonite and EBags site separately until recently and decided to shut down the big eBags site and associated infrastructure selling 3rd party merchandise, and are now just selling the eBags merchandise through the Samsonite infrastructure.

To be honest and fair, the Customer Service person I spoke with today couldn't have been nicer or more understanding and we joked about how crazy this all was!

2017年4月7日 · Yes, Samsonite will use eBags to sell their line but not just their line. They will keep all products for sale. Why lose all that income? It would make no sense. eBags would then just be the online sales outlet for Samsonite. That's silly. What you're missing is how eBags does business. They don't have any warehouses.

2024年8月2日 · Samsonite bought eBags back in 2017, but eBags kept their separate identity. They already have customers names etc, because Samsonite would ship the orders out from Florida. I'll definitely buy a few more before something else happens. Covid took ebags under including many other luggage makers. I'm glad Tom Bihn is still hanging on.

2024年5月11日 · The ML Jr. packs enough. I have a 21" roller from eBags and the Jr fits the same amount of stuff in a smaller bag. Primarily because the roller and handle mechanism take up so much space. I had the same concerns as you and have found the jr. to be enough. I do want to note, I think these bags are a bit on the bulkier side.

The set comes with a small, medium, and large "cube" (really rectangular) but sets of the individual sizes are also available. I've found that they are pretty useful for packing and separating all sorts of things.

After purchasing my first Motherlode Jr last year I was so impressed I quickly added the 20" Mini and 29" full size to my collection. I am also considering the wheeled laptop convertible bag as another lightweight carry on alternative for short trips.
