The UCS-20 produces a high-resolution, real-time live color display of spectral data with standard PC graphics running under Windows (95 and above). Operation is intuitive. using pull-down menus and function buttons for the most commonly used commands and display options.
The UCS-20 is a fully integrated multichannel analyzer for nuclear spectroscopy and time related studies on the Macintosh computer. The instrument contains a high voltage supply, amplifier, multichannel scaling, a 2048 channel analog-to-digital converter and up to 2048 channels of data memory, capable of storing spectra and associated elapsed time.
Designed for flexibility to cover a wide range of applications, the UCS20 will support NaI(Tl) detectors, CdZnTe and proportional counters for gamma and X-ray spectroscopy. Preamplifier power output ( ± 12V) for devices requiring external preamplifiers and direct inputs to the internal amplifier and ADC are included with external gating ...

Spectrum Techniques’ software offers comprehensive nuclear measurement solutions that provide integrated hardware control, analysis, and display in a single, easy-to-use package.
These files contain the latest UCS-20 software for use with Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 & 8 operating systems. A sample spectrum is included and the software will run with or without the hardware installed for working offline with previously collected data.
Launch the UCS20 software from the Programs menu on the PC. To test the DAQ use the 137Cs source since there is one photopeak corresponding to the 667KeV decay. Be sure that the 667KeV pulses that you see on the scope have appropriate pulse heights and then check the spectra displayed by the DAQ/UCS20. This
This demonstration is easily conducted using a Spectrum Techniques UCS-20 Universal Computer Spectrometer (www.spectrumtechniques.com), a small scintillation probe, and safe-to-handle radioactive sources available from Spectrum Techniques.
Over-temperature protection with alarm. Digital LED display using splash-proof keypads: timer (1 to 99 min, Max 4 hour operating), temperature monitor. High-frequency 40 kHz sound waves provide greater cleaning power and increased reliability. Multiple output mode (Normal/Pulse/Sweep) with power selection (Low/Middle/ High).
