2022年3月20日 · I recently bought a new Thinkpad P1 Gen 4 with a Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 Gen 2 docking station. The docking station came with 230 watt power adapter with a 170 - 135/65 watt Y-split cable. When I researched docking stations that could power this laptop, this was the recommended specifications.

2021年7月6日 · Regarding to one HDMI port on Thunderbolt 3 Dock and eDP port for built-in LCD, UHD screen@60Hz must be usable for each output. Regarding to HDMI port of laptop, I cannot assure UHD is usable, because Intel tells that Intel UHD graphics supports 4096 x 2304@24Hz, it is far less than UHD@60Hz .

2021年5月11日 · personally. I have a thinkpad x1 extreme gen 2. It has 2 thunderbolt 3 ports, and I am using an anker thunderbolt 3/4 hub. It provides 85W charging over the Thunderbolt connection, but without the main power supply plugged it, the laptop disconnects from the docking station as if I had unplugged the cable (power included) every 5-10 minutes or so.

I'd use it with a 230 watt power supply and add another 65w adapter to the other power connector. I'd rather do this and buy a new power supply than buy a whole new dock for $400.
