Differences between Surface Book 1 and 2
2017年11月19日 · I'm curious about the tangible differences that an average user might notice between the Surface Book 1 and 2. I know the 2 has newer generation CPUs and better high end graphics options, but what differences might I notice between lower end models. The original has some good discounts right now. For example, is the hinge really improved on the 2?

charge surface book 2 with powerbank via USB-C
2020年11月30日 · I have two Surface Book 2 (15 inch) computers. One of the units is about 3 years old. Sometimes I charge them with a RAVPower 26800mAh 30W PD USB C Power Bank, especially when traveling. Fully charges my Surface Book 2 in about 3 hours. I sometimes use the USB C cable, and sometimes a Surface Connector to USB-C to charging cable.

The Pro 3 faces with throttling problem, while the Pro 2 you can push it hard, and beside a warm system, it is a-ok. The Pro 3 sold like hot cakes compared to the Pro 2, despite the issue with performance.

2018年1月3日 · So I shut down my Surface Book (i7/16Gb/512mb/Perf base) as per usual before Christmas (Start > Shutdown). It had been on power all day so base & clipboard should be fully charged. I go to power up a week later and nothing happens except the release button on the base lights up and glows constantly red.

2021年9月7日 · A very similar thing happened to me with my Surface Book 3 a few years ago. Turned out a shred of metallic debris (tiny shaving) found it’s way to the connector slot on the Surface. Because of the magnetic connector, the port became magnetic enough to draw in debris. I used a very bright flashlight and a plastic knife to see and clean the port.
