He was most likely hitting 1xRTT on his previous phone, which most of the 4G phones VZW sells can still see/use, but any phone classified as CDMAless can *only* use VoLTE. This isn't a "block" so much as a limitation of the phone.

2020年9月18日 · I've moved my Samsung Galaxy Watch from my S20 phone to my Surface Duo and it has almost all of the same benefits as the S20. Notifications to my S20 are faster though and it's more seamless process. Samsung's Galaxy Store app is built into Samsung phones and isn't available for download to non-Samsung phones.
Closing surface duo doesn't lock the screen anymore
2020年9月15日 · For me, the issue was caused by using the Link to PC and Phone Screen. If you don't disconnect the Phone Screen properly, the phone won't lock when closed. To fix, I had to reconnect my phone to the PC, connect the Phone Screen, then click Disconnect on either the PC Your Phone App or on your phone. After that, the lock should work again.

After another dozen phone calls and dozens of emails and hours wasted, MS finally sent another unit out two weeks later. This one reached me (it's my current Duo 2 -- still using it today, and it is awesome with great battery life).

In the case of the duo, since you can fold it you can, more comfortably, take photos. Personally I need to take photos for my work and it matters for productivity that I find a way to make it look good.

2015年1月9日 · Just updated the duo last night on att. When making calls on phone, Skype, WhatsApp, the microphone won't work. I hear a beep right after initiating the call. It only works when responding to a phone call. Could be a surface headphones issue but it clearly happened after the phone update.
