I have seen cases that do have a magsafe ring, but I believe those are only for sticking stuff onto the back surface, not to mention they look questionable to me. I also have a MagSafe vent mount I use for some rentals (typically vans/trucks that don’t have CarPlay: audio is piped straight into my MFi hearing aids). About the only time I ever plug in is if I have a rental car with only wired CarPlay… maybe once a year.

So I think there is definitely a deleterious impact on your battery from using magsafe, though the convenience can’t be beat. I was using the Belkin 3 in 1 charger, and it‘s great for cable management.
