The Diploma in Civil Engineering programme extends over three years. Each year is divided into two semesters. There are six semesters in total within the period of three years. The foundational subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are offered in diffusion
The second semester syllabi under New Regulation 2023 for Diploma Programmes in Engineering and Technology from the academic year 2023-2024 is hosted in the DoTE website (www.dte.tn.gov.in).
primary objective of the curriculum change is to produce employable diploma holders in the country by correlating the growing needs of the industries with relevant academic input.
All the Diploma programs run at various institutions are of AICTE approved 3 years or 3½ years duration of academic instruction. All the Diploma courses are run on year wise pattern in the first year, and the remaining two or two & half years are run in the semester pattern.
The curricula for diploma programmes have been revised by adopting time-tested and nationally acclaimed scientific method, laying emphasis on the identification of learning outcomes of diploma programme.
