Both my sisters and my car broke down this weekend, and my dad is simply looking for something cheap $200/month and getting one...

Where do you purchase your replacement laptop batteries?
2008年6月5日 · In the past, there used to be some reputable aftermarket batteries (i.e. for Macs) but these seem to have been drowned out by cheap units from China; or relegated to history because Mac laptops no longer have user-replaceable batteries. Sadly with the economics of consumer electronics, a reputable supplier doesn't seem cost effective:

2012年11月10日 · Typically li-ion cell that are new cost between $3-$6 when bought in volume. So realistically anything below $25 is most like used, refurbished, or very old. At $16 bucks I would suspect that the cells are refurbish or very old.

Additionally, aftermarket or remanufactured battery packs are available, which makes battery replacement a potential expense on par with a transmission swap or major engine repairs - not cheap ...

Replacement battery vent cap? Covered by vehicle warranty?
2001年6月24日 · Nothing looks spilled. It hasn't been gone too long. The car is new so burning oil isn't a problem and it only gets checked about once every couple months or before a big trip. At 25,000 miles, this was a 5K service between 10K services where it gets a full synth change. If Exide doesn't have a cap for me, I'll be doing exactly as you suggest.
Rechargable batteries don't work in some devices?
2000年3月1日 · Probably different chemistry (Li-ion, for example). Typical non-rechargeable chemistries (there are quite a few, I don't know what's most common, alkaline maybe?) are about 1.5V per cell, whereas NiMH and NiCad are about 1.2V per cell.
