2005年11月14日 · Perhaps you meant to say that despite the power consumption, they *seemed* to produce enough light-- but again, there's a specific beam pattern and specific minima and maxima for the light output that makes a good fog lamp a good fog lamp, a bad fog lamp a bad fog lamp, and a NOT fog lamp a NOT fog lamp.

2002年2月2日 · I've tried different color LED headlamps in thick fog: white, green, amber LS, red LS, red/orange LS. What's been said about longer wavelengths is true. Also, roy makes a good point about the backscattering into your eyes. That's why headlamps are not well suited for fog. I would use an amber or red/orange LS in a handheld fashion.

There are good fog lights out there, many of them (like the Cibie 175 and Marchal 950) made since the 1970's, but there are a lot of total trash fog lights, too -- just 12 volt "bling" for the ignorant.
