2008年7月29日 · There is just nothing better, easier, as flexible, or as cheap as Excel in my opinion. We all build and estimate so differently, you can customize a spreadsheet to fit your individual method of building. I do take off in Excel for each phase of construction and then attach the files to each budget line in the software I currently use.

2015年12月30日 · At a million in yearly sales we went with construction specific software 25 years ago, Accubuild. They have become much more expensive since then. They require training that just about equals the cost of software and yearly support so I have to think they are more expensive than Master Builder from Sage at this point.

Every now and then I go back to my Buildsoft files to look up old data, and though I like the look of Buildsoft over CHS, there is no comparison as to which software gives me more and quicker information about my financials.

I actually purchased the program directly from Jay as he lives about 10 miles from me. 2012年3月4日 · As Tom has explained, this system is more useful for large scale projects as a method of tracking actual costs vs the original estimate and bid. For most residential construction it is of no value. There are people who make a career of workign with Primavera software, and for them the three items you mention are all tied to a common set of codes.
