Another recommendation to consider is Lexus GX. You can get plenty of older examples for under 30k. Toyota Land Cruisers are similar vehicles. They are tanks. They will legitimately last forever. Resale value is kind of strange (in an expensive way). But mileage is not exactly a priority on those. Due diligence on a used car is always necessary.
