2023年7月21日 — Wondering what the best PS1 emulator would be for me. I’m relatively new to emulation, and have only used Dolphin so far. I’m currently playing through all of the Resident Evil games, from top to bottom in release order, as I had never experienced any of them before.

- Added HLE bios support (an official PS1 is recommend yet). From this version ePSXe can run games without an official PS1 bios. Compatibility is lower and memcards support limited. VERY IMPORTANT: Savestates done with a official PS1 bios are NOT compatible with savestates done with ePSXe HLE bios (Besides it uses a different namespace).

2020年12月13日 — Epsxe is the most well known and does a pretty good job. It's kinda tricky to get it to look like an original ps1 without using a crt TV or monitor, sounds a bit backwards but the blurriness actually takes the edges off the blocky graphics and improves the look.

2016年10月3日 — Mednafen is the most accurate PS1 emulator, but the standalone emulator can be cumbersome to use (it's command line only, no graphical UI) and doesn't have internal resolution upscaling. The Mednafen core for RetroArch, though, is easy to setup and has resolution upscaling. Setting up ePSXe will be pretty similar to setting up pcsx2.

2018年12月31日 — There´s 2 PS1 emulators worth mentioning, ePSXe and FPse. ePSXe runs smoother, has more settings (or at least they´re organized better) and is more accurate in my experience, but FPse has the better button layout imo. Both have a main menu that shows you the covers and names. I´d personally go for ePSXe.
