2024年11月4日 · I have a 2021 Forest River Georgetown GT5 31L5 with the 7.3L V8, and Ford had to replaced the engine at 24,600 miles. Symptoms were a taping sound at idle that sounded like a stuck lifter, and some intermittent sounds at higher throttle. Dealer found metal in the oil filter and compression loss. Ford replaced the engine under warrantee.

While Ford has yet to come back to me with what exactly happened here, the servicing dealership says two or more cylinders were milled wrong. Still not sure this replacement engine is going to live up to Ford’s braggadocios advertising.

2021年7月28日 · Pulling the same load a the old Ford 6 speed 5.0litre V8 would get 2 mpg better than a Honda 3.5 litre V6 pulling that same load. The Honda was a 5 speed. The little engine working hard did in fact use more gasoline than the Ford 5.0 litre. Solo - the Honda got 17 while the Ford got 19. Again about 2 mpg better.

I am extremely pleased with the new Ford engine and enhanced chassis, and I am a many time previous GM chassis motorhome owner. This 2022 I purchased is my 45th motorhome in 34 years, from 16' to 42' long, gas and diesel. I have pretty much owned most everything.

We have replaced , spark plugs, plug wires , coils ,injectors, fuel pump and still has random misfires and after sitting for a few hours it just cranks and cranks. after it starts it runs fine if you are above idle but at idle it has random misfires. when it is hard to start if you push the gas pedal it will start.
