Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud appeared to come to his teammate’s defense in the wake of an ugly incident in the Texans’ 23-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair was ejected in the second quarter of the game after he took a cheap shot at Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence while Lawrence was sliding to the ground.

The Houston Texans got back on track in Week 13, as they picked up a 23-20 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Along the way, though, they saw starting linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair get ejected for a dirty hit on Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence, which drew an interesting reaction from C.J. Stroud after the game.

The Texans are at Jacksonville in a game they need to win to get back on track down the stretch ahead of playoffs.
