A Winnipeg police officer was seriously injured, and a man was fatally shot on Sunday evening in the 3600 block of Portage Avenue.

Cross Lake RCMP are investigating a fatal hit-and-run on Thursday in the community. A 38-year-old man was struck and later pronounced dead.
