Two amber warnings were issued as a "multiple-hazard event" hit the UK. Red alerts were issued for parts of Ireland.

A number of weather warnings are in place across the weekend, with the Met Office predicting travel disruption, flooding and wind gusts of up to 70mph in some areas.
