At 37-years-young, Luis Suarez is proving that age is indeed a number as he signed a contract extension with Major League Soccer’s (MLS), Inter Miami, that will see him remain in Florida until the end of the 2025 season.

Luis Suarez is going to play alongside Lionel Messi for at least one more year. Suarez and Inter Miami have agreed on a one-year contract extension for the coming season, the team announced Wednesday.

Suarez signed with Inter Miami last winter, and there was concern that his history of knee pain would limit his playing time. He put those worries to rest, playing in 37 matches across all competitions in, including 27 in regular season play. He played a critical leadership role during the two months Messi was out injured.
