Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios are partnering to build first-of-a-kind Minecraft attractions in the real world. Merlin owns LEGOLAND Parks, Sea Life Aquariums, Madame Tussauds, and more. Microsoft owns Minecraft creator Mojang Studios.

Minecraft fans will be able to experience blocky terrains in real life as the bestselling video game of all time is getting made into theme park form.

Microsoft has entered a deal with UK-based theme park operator Merlin Entertainments to open Minecraft-themed attractions, hotel rooms, and stores in the UK and US. As reported by The Guardian, Merlin will invest more than $110 million in the first two attractions, which are expected to open in the UK and US in 2026 and 2027.

Minecraft-maker Monjang has struck a deal with Merlin Entertainments – Europe’s largest theme park operator that runs Alton Towers,
