Wreaths Across America is preparing to lay wreaths at the gravesites of more than a million veterans nationwide. On Dec. 14, at Hampton National Cemetery, the Navy Wives' Club #91 will hold a ceremony to lay wreaths. The group is seeking volunteers and wreath sponsors.

"Wreaths Across America" places wreaths at national cemeteries, including Zachary Taylor Cemetery in Louisville. With just more than a week away, there are almost 6,000 wreaths that have not been sponsored. Poll

Since then, the Fort Findlay DAR added the Benton Ridge Cemetery, the Knights of Columbus added St. Michael’s Cemetery, American Legion Post 539 added North Baltimore Cemeteries, and Don Stine brought the program to Eagle Township Cemeteries.

Clearing, chilly weather is in the forecast. Expect lows to dip into the teens and twenties, with highs only in the 30s and 40s through Thanksgiving. As December arrives, temperatures will warm a few degrees.
