The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on Friday said the allegations against the Adani Group top executives were a legal matter involving private firms and individuals and the US Department of Justice.

India on Friday responded to the charges filed by US prosecutors against industrialist Gautam Adani and several others, clarifying that it is a legal matter involving private firms and individuals, as well as the US Department of Justice.

India's foreign ministry said on Friday that bribery allegations against billionaire Gautam Adani by U.S. authorities is a legal matter between private firms and the U.S. Department of Justice and that New Delhi is not involved in the case at this point.
