No one has gotten sick from the contaminated milk, but the recall serves as an extra caution around the wellness trend that is drinking raw milk.

Public health officials have announced that raw milk contaminated with the bird flu virus may have been sold at stores in Los Angeles County.

"Drinking or accidentally inhaling raw milk containing bird flu virus may lead to illness," California's public health department said. "In addition, touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands after touching raw milk with bird flu virus may also lead to infection."
