A toddler in the Bronx was seriously injured in a hit-and-run after being struck by a moped illegally riding on the sidewalk, police said. The incident happened on Friday around 1:00 p.m., on Holland Avenue.

Police said a little girl was outside with her mom, just steps from her home in the Bronx, when a man on a scooter hit the 3-year-old and leaving her with a fractured skull. The hit-and-run happened Friday afternoon in the Williamsbridge section of the Bronx.

A hefty bald man in a bright orange coat rammed a moped into a 3-year-old girl and dragged the child for several feet in front of the child’s stunned mother as he rode down a Bronx sidewalk, cops said Saturday.
